Telephone Systems
Our hire stock includes a number of BABT Approved Telephone Exchange
Systems and Handsets, ideal for communicating between key staff
and stewards on a showground for example. If an outside line is
provided, our Exchange Systems can easily be connected to it to
allow users contact with the outside world, although a line is not
necessary for ‘internal’ calls.
All of our Telephone Exchanges are wired to 3-pin XLR connectors
for easy interconnection via standard microphone cables or our multicore
cable drums allowing several lines to be sent along one cable. In
addition, most of our commentary units are pre-wired with BT Master
sockets, and carry a telephone on-board. |

NEW FOR 2009! Event Radio Broadcasting
We now have all the necessary equipment to provide you with your very own event radio station, capable of transmitting a number of square miles (depending on licence*) on the FM waveband.
This means people at your event can tune in to the appropriate frequency using a standard radio tuner to listen to event commentary, class call ups, presentation ceremonies, interviews, or any program content you wish to broadcast.
This system is particularly suitable for Sporting Fixtures, Point to Point Races, Equestrian Events and Dog Shows, where competitors or spectators are often located within their cars, horseboxes or caravans.
Why not offer radio advertising to your event sponsors or local businesses to help cover some of the event costs? Recorded messages or jingles can easily be broadcast at regular intervals.
* Short Term Restricted Service and Wireless Telegraphy Licences must be obtained from Ofcom, and applied for a minimum of 8 weeks prior to the event. We may be able to assist with the application if required. |

Radio Links
For applications requiring extension speakers in remote areas where
ground level or overhead cabling would be impractical, we have Radio
Link systems enabling audio signals to be sent to a remote amplifier
via radio signals.
These radio links are designed for the professional broadcast industry,
and are capable of transmitting at high quality over a large distance.
Due to the high power output of these units, a licence must be
obtained prior to use. We can obtain the necessary licence on your
behalf once provided with the relevant site details.
Our Radio Link systems come complete with all the necessary aerials
and leads, as well as an amplifier to power the remote speakers,
and a silent running generator where mains power is unavailable.
Connection into the system is via a line level signal on a balanced
XLR connector. |

Traffic Light Signals
Our hire stock includes Traffic Light signals, aimed specifically
at Horse Trials, but finding many other applications including Motorsports
and timing of Speeches, etc.
Our signalling systems are powered from a 12V DC Power Source,
and come complete with controller, display unit and all the necessary
leads.
NEW FOR 2009! We now have a radio controlled Traffic Light signalling system aimed specifically at Horse Trials. The system uses red and green strobe lighting, with a switchable buzzer to alert riders and stewards to a change of status.
Long range radio technology gives ease of installation with no wires linking the controller to the display unit. The system is supplied complete with controller/ transmitter unit with antenna, display strobe unit with built in receiver, and 12v power supply. |

for example, as well as many other applications such as communicating
